Runnin’ in Fast Company

I’ve become a big fan of Fast Company - as they describe it, this online magazine “Covers the new economy and workplace for people who believe in fusing tough-minded performance with human values.” Think Michael Phelps meets The Cluetrain Manifesto. I don’t read it “cover to cover” but every morning there is at least one story that captivates me. I thought I’d share this with you today because the stars realigned themselves yesterday, life as we know it has changed, again - and Fast Company has a couple of very interesting articles on this brave new world.

Yep, you got it, this big news today was/is, of course the BIG news: “Zappos and Amazon sitting in a tree…” as Tony Hsieh, Zappos CEO describes it. If you haven’t heard that Amazon has acquired Zappos, then maybe you do need a Twitter Account! All the more reason to tune into Fast Company with your Cheerios every am.

So, yep, I recommend you add Fast Company to your daily reading list. As much for your enrichment as that of your business. You will learn good stuff to not only help you with your business but to share with your clients and blog readers.

As for the AmaZappos story (No, I can’t possibly be the first person to write that, can’t I? )There are a lot of very interesting things going on here, this story is about so much more than a corporate merger. There is so much more here between the lines. Check out:
