No Excuses - Get Going!
I saw a commercial for a TV special about Sheryl Crow. It showed a snippet of an interview she had done and her words caught my attention. She started by saying something about people not remembering what you wore or what you said but then she said, “What’s important is that you make music you love.”
Nothing new under the sun. But are you? Are doing what you love or are you making excuses. Are you telling yourself lies about how you need to have a “job” to feed your family and keep the roof over your head? Are you too busy making a living to make a life?
Or are you doing what you love? Which by the way, can not only give you a life, but a living as well.
Yes, it can - so stop making excuses and go make music you love.
Now.
Yes, now…go on…get going!

This pretty much applies to everything you do in life. We are not all in the position to do what we love (mostly because of financial restrictions) but for those of us who can we shouldn’t just stick in a dead end job watching the clock ticking past so as we go home. Life is just too short. You 100% have to try and do what you love
Hi Niall,
One of the reasons I wrote this is because I do feel that when we say we can’t do what we love because of financial restrictions or whatever that it is just another excuse. Maybe that sounds harsh but as my Mother used to say, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
