If it’s all Common Sense, why aren’t we all doing it all the time?

The Success Principles

By Jack Canfield and Janet Switzer

When they did the pre-release publicity on this I must have had emails from every corner of the internet touting how wonderful it was going to be. I was even invited to a free teleseminar where Jack Canfield gave a fairly in depth review of the main points. I knew when I heard about it that there wouldn’t be anything in it I didn’t already know. I knew it would be common sense stuff. So why did I get it?

Well, gee, it’s Jack Canfield! I was given an audio version of the original Chicken Soup for the Soul book by an old neighbor and I fell in love. I even watched my daughter, who at the time was pretty cynical for a 13 year old fall in love with the stories. From there we devoured more – she read Chicken Soup for the Teenagers Soul and I cried through Chicken Soup for the Mothers Soul. So I knew that there would be something special about this book.

And no, I was not at all disappointed. Yes, I knew it. No, I did not always do it. Yes, this book is a must read. Why? Funny you should ask!

It helps you do what you know you could do but don’t always do. When I read it, I was amazed to think things like; duh! - How could I have forgotten to do that? And wow, I never thought about that in that way. The little tips, tricks and twists are truly enlightening and inspiring. I read the book through once and did all of the exercises; they were fun! And then I did it again and again.
